Bio
As an undergraduate student, Betty began her journey as an Exploratory Studies student before earning a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies. Since that time, she has worked in a variety of student-centered roles at CSU.

In addition to her Bachelor’s degree, Betty holds a Master’s in Social Justice and Human Rights from Arizona State University. Her academic and professional background is deeply rooted in equity and advocacy, and her advising philosophy centers on empathy, active listening, and the belief that every student brings valuable experiences to their educational journey. In her work with students, Betty prioritizes individualized guidance that affirms each student’s strengths, identities, and goals.

Outside of work, Betty loves running, spending time outdoors, reading, and sharing meaningful moments with friends and family.
